Interested in immersing yourself in a live-in shiatsu mentorship?

Ningendo offers uchi-deshi (live-in student) stays that allow you to sink into a deeper rhythm. While shiatsu is the central theme, it is complimented with aikido, meditation, yoga, archery and gardening. Off-grid and surrounded by national park, we live at the junction of two waterways.

Student feedback:

I am forever grateful for the safe space you had provided for me…..it felt extremely healing and profound also in          the way I look at my practice and my work as shiatsu therapist …….     Ina Becker

Personally and professionally, my time as an ushi deshi student has been beneficial beyond words. Akhalita and Russ offer a very unique style of teaching, where shiatsu is experienced as a way of life. Being an ushi deshi student grounded my shiatsu knowledge by living within the natural rhythms of yin and yang, eating food that resonated with my body’s needs at different times of the day, and practising shiatsu in a setting so beautiful, harmonious and authentic. I have left each of my ushi deshi stays with a nourished earth element, clarity of mind, motivation for my shiatsu practice, and sparks of creativity that can only come from having rested deeply into the centre of myself. I highly recommend this experience of embodied shiatsu learning to all those interested in living a rich and deeply connected life……       Felicity Dinah

Akhala and Russ have created a magic space, tucked away in pristine forest, by a crystal clear river, stunning gifts of our Divine Mother Nature. There exists the opportunity to live in harmony with the land and truly work on ourselves to create a spiritual discipline. Interwoven with fun and humour they have created a space to give us an opportunity to go deeper within, and connect back to our roots. I have learnt a lot from them, my teachers, and I look forward to our next encounter, my next journey to Ningendo…….                   Kristy Turner
